This year everything changed, and nothing changed.
For the first time we hosted a new online festival – LFA Digital – throughout June 2020. Whilst we were online, not everything was on a screen. The basic principle of the festival remained the same: our events were organised by an amazingly eclectic community of people, groups and organisations who care about the architecture of our city. The LFA helps to democratise the discussion about architecture and our city. Events organised by a diverse range of people means there’s something for everyone in our programme.
From cake baking competitions to architectural therapy; drawing workshops to Lego challenges; panel discussions to podcasts; virtual building tours to outdoor audio guides – our event organisers have created many ways to help you see architecture in new ways. Online.
Our more traditional 2020 festival of events and installations will now appear over a longer season later this year. You can find the archive of the digital festival here, with many of the events still available to view.
