Power and Architecture: Doron von Beider in conversation with Del Hossain

With the LFA’s 2020 theme of Power,  we’re delighted to extend and invitation to join Doron von Beider, Head of Research at Adjaye Associates in conversation with Del Hossain, Managing Director of Adrem.

The event will explore the ways in which Doron’s Israeli heritage was crucial in the formation of his approach to his discipline. By taking an in-depth look at a special selection of Adjaye Associate projects, the conversation will cover Doron’s work as a researcher and the ways in which architecture has the power to affect communities, the power to effect social change, the power of its social responsibilities and the power it finds in diversity.

The event will be of particular interest to anyone fascinated in cross cultural influences on architecture and design, the rigour of research that influences design decisions and the work of David Adjaye.
This will be followed by a Q&A.

The event takes place at  Central Saint Martin’s Granary Square Building on Wednesday 29 January.   This is the first in a series of events by UAL’s Jewish Society about Israeli arts and culture.
