Circular design practices to promote sustainability in the built environment

26 June 2020

14:00 -15:30

The built environment involves significant resources throughout its life, starting from conception, design, construction, operation and renovation or demolition.

It is no wonder why the construction industry has received so much attention in sustainability agenda of nations around the world. How can we mix the power of architecture to define and realize our ambitions and aspirations, and yet integrate sound principles throughout the life cycle of those buildings. Several methodologies have been formulated, and the circular design principles applied to the urban environment can be applied effectively to this end.

The online workshop aims to offer a platform for discussion on what needs to be done to further promote sustainable practices for the built environment, how to share expertise and experiences, and open possibilities for green entrepreneurship and innovation to take place in the construction industry.
